Power Chucks for CNC Lathes

Image of Power Chucks for CNC Lathes Aimed at the volume retrofit market, the Workholding System's conventional wedge chucks incorporate a number of features that ensure compatibility with a wide range of machines as well as utilising existing top jaws.

Chucks can be supplied with either 1.5mm x 60deg or 1/6 inch x 90 deg pitch serrations, coupled with a novel design of base jaw and changeable tee nuts to ensure acceptance of both metric and Imperial top jaws, plus different slots and fixing screw centres.

Power chucks for CNC lathes are available in diameters of 130 mm, 165 mm, 210 mm, 250 mm and 315 mm.

Gamet Power Chucks for CNC Lathes

Image of Power Chucks for CNC Lathes We also offers the Gamet range of power chucks and the Delta chuck, in particular, offers a unique ultra-efficient base jaw and lever system that provides new levels of chucking performance. The novel design of the master jaw slideways ensures excellent grip, stability and accuracy at very high rotational and stock removal speeds.

Coupling to a pressure-reducing Vario cylinder enables chuck gripping forces to be relaxed automatically during the machining cycle, without stopping the spindle.

The Delta is particularly suitable for delicate and thin-walled components.

SPANNTOP Combi Pull-Back

With a fixed end-stop for chucking work and a through-bore for bars
  • Axial draw force against the end-stop, which stabilizes the clamping important for short clamping lengths
  • Little inertia loss
  • Extremely rigid
  • Optimal holding power
  • Excellent concentricity after clamping head change
  • Simple mechanics, results in better power conversion
  • Clamps work pieces with short clamping length
  • Converts to a full functional "bar chuck" when the end-stop plate is removed
